Santander Bank, through Santander Universities division, has supported CISE in the development of its initiatives since 2012. This collaboration began as part of the relationship that the bank has had with the University of Cantabria since 1996 and was reinforced in 2009 with the singing of an agreement to create Cantabria International Campus.
Through Santander Universities, the bank has more than 1,200 collaboration agreements with universities and academic institutions all over the world and is the private business that invests the most in supporting education in the world (Varkey/UNESCO-Fortune 500 Report). The Government of Cantabria supports the different programmes carried out by CISE as part of their strategy to promote entrepreneurship in the region. The necessity to promote employment and energize the economy while generating new stimuli aimed towards creating businesses and innovation makes CISE crucial to the development of Cantabria.
The University of Cantabria (UC) is a public, young and modern institution whose main goal is to contribute to social progress through its commitment to teaching and researching excellence. More than 40 years of experience and a search for constant improvement has allowed it to be considered one of the top ten universities in the country for its quality and scientific production.
As part of our efforts to become a reference as an “Entrepreneurial University”, the UC supports all of CISE’s initiatives through its Vice-rectorate of Students, Employability and Entrepreneurship and through the Cantabria International Campus.
